一年又一年过去,每当新的冬季降临,当人们再次围坐在火堆旁讨论 winters’ long-standing grip on their lives when suddenly, a snowbird appeared with a crimson object in its beak and dropped it in front of them. The people realized that spring had already arrived elsewhere, but they were still trapped in the icy grip of winter.
The community gathered to discuss the issue, seeking a solution to end the prolonged cold spell. The elders suggested that someone must have used a stone to hit a bird, causing the snow to fall continuously. They decided to question each child individually and found out that one little girl had indeed admitted to using a stone to hit a bird.
The parents were devastated by this revelation and didn't know how they could bear losing their daughter as an offering for their tribe's survival. However, they understood that their children's well-being was crucial for everyone's future.
They prepared her father-in-law by dressing her up on an ice floe and set off towards unknown lands where she would meet Winter God who would make sure winter ends once she is married into his family. She was given away while her parents wept uncontrollably as if they lost another child from them.
From then onwards whenever there was any harsh weather or frosty conditions around those places; people believed that it was all because of this brave young lady named Vakaani who lived among them - also known as "the girl on ice" due
