The Monkey King: A Mischievous Hero

He is an immortal monkey with superhuman strength who gained power after consuming sacred peaches from heaven. Chang'e: The Moon Goddess

In Chinese mythology lies another enchanting tale about Chang'e – the moon goddess who resides on lunar palace with her pet rabbit companion Yutu (Jade Rabbit). According to legend she drank elixir meant for immortality while trying out its effects but accidentally consumed it all resulting in her ascension into heavenly realms where she now watches over humans during full moons.
