The Legend of Zhong Kui: A Warrior against Evil Spirits

Today, worshiping images or portraits of Zhong Kuicomes in many Buddhist temples across Asia particularly in Mainland China & Taiwan regions; followers pray for protection from negative energies & good health.

This tradition continues due to its strong symbolic significance reflecting courage triumphing over darkness.

Moreover it also symbolizes unity between Buddhism & Taoism both religions coexisted peacefully back then promoting harmony among different belief systems within society leading towards greater prosperity.
