勒桑洛珠家 suddenly became bustling with activity. As the sun rose, matchmakers came one after another to propose; as the moon ascended, young women came to seek his hand in marriage. Their words were sweeter than honey, their songs more melodious than a lute. However, Le-sang-lo-zhu's heart was as cold and indifferent as an icy sea.
His mother worried about his marriage every moment of every day. Le-sang-lo-zhu tried to comfort her: "The ripe fruit falls naturally from the tree; it is pointless to try to pick it before it's ready." One day, she told him that his father had made three vows before passing away: one was to gild the Buddha statue at Lhasa Jokhang Temple; two was to offer a piece of jade for the White Tara goddess; and three was to offer incense tea at the three major monasteries (Ganden, Potala, and Sera). Now that he had grown up, he should fulfill these vows.
Le-sang-lo-zhu promised his mother he would carry out her wishes. The next morning before dawn broke, he set off on horseback with tea leaves on one side and butter on the other, carrying gold powder and jade pieces in between. He rode towards Lhasa along Heapo River Valley.
As he journeyed through summer Heapo River Valley - more beautiful than any picture of Tangka Buddhist paintings - riverside laughter accompanied him while snow-capped mountains bid farewell ahead and behind him. Green barley fields swayed gently under butterflies' wings while skylarks sang sweet melodies amidst laborers singing folk songs while working in fields.
Before half a day passed by Le-sang-lo-zhu arrived at Jiangtuo area where a girl appeared from among green barley fields blocking his path with fresh corn stalks offered as gift saying:
"Dear traveler please halt!
Take this bunch of corn,
To Lasa city bring.
This unchewed by insects,
Unfrozen by hailstones,
Untouched by reaping knives,
With laborer's love entwined."
Captivated by her beauty & charm like wood fixed upright on horseback back without moving or speaking or breathing .He didn't know what else but forgot all tasks ,ma whip fell down too ,he also forgot picking up .
The girl picked up whip for him but saw right edge dress pocketing small copper mirror attached & stretched hand out taking mirror ;his feet hadn't time thinking but white horse spread wings flying far away .
Originally Jiangtuo place has an old custom called "Youlang" each year during harvest season when people ploughing request gifts from travelers who pass-by ;the girl sent over 1 bundle corn requesting rewards which travelers return some tea or money showing gratitude .Today towards Le-sang-lo-zhu asking for "Youlang" is Dabaxi daughter named Jiantuo Nirenjim
